Believed to be the only headstone within this cemetery still standing, as told to us by someone who lives on the Boy Scout property; which would have been known as the Sampson Deckard Farm.

Catharine "Caty" Hillenburg was the daughter of Daniel & Mary Barbara (Shrader/Schrader) Hillenburg.

She married Johannes "John/Uncle John" Deckard on September 1, 1814 in Wythe County, Virginia. To this union, 8 known children were born: Peter Deckard, Catharine Anna (Deckard) Stewart, Martin Deckard, Elizabeth (Deckard) Stewart, Amelia Deckard, John Wesley Deckard, Sampson Deckard & King Anthony Deckard
