William Joseph Dodson, aged 67, of Haskell died Friday. He was a retired employee of the Benton Power Plant. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Bearden Dodson; two sons, Bobby Dodson and Jimmy Dodson, both of Benton; five daughters, Mrs. Betty Beasley, Mrs. Lucille Finley, Mrs. Marie Isom and Mrs. Catherine Fletcher, all of Benton, and Mrs. Christine Penix of Little Rock; a stepmother, Mrs. Lottie Dodson of Benton; one brother, Clebert Dodson of Benton; one sister, Mrs. Bill Wheeler of Benton; three half-brothers, Harvey Dodson, Dan Dodson and John Dodson, all of Benton; four half-sisters, Mrs. Lillie Wilson, Mrs. Ruth Beam, Mrs. Margaret Heron, all of Benton and Mrs. Mary Lee Downing of California; and 19 grandchildren. Funeral was to be at 10 a.m. today at Ashby Funeral Chapel with Rev. Willis Calhoon officiating. Burial was to be at Summit Cemetery. (source unknown - probably Benton Courier)
