Mrs. Reua Root died suddenly at her country home at Root's Siding at five o'clock on June 26, 1904. She had been in failing health for some time with cancer of the stomach but her family had not expected the final summons so soon.
Mrs. Root had lived in Butler county for over thirty years, most of the time at the old home place bearing her name. She was highly respected and there is deep regret expressed on all sides for her demise. She is survived by her husband, Ruluff Root, three daughters, Reua Root, Clara Slimmer, and Lida Ladd and a son, Milton Root. Funeral and burial to take place June 30th.
