Our sweet "Cookie" grandma returned to her Father in Heaven January 22, 2004.

Mom was born April 2, 1919 in Redmond, Utah to Annetta Julia Frandsen and Charles Edward Christensen. She married Dad, John Jay (Jack) Westenskow, December 6, 1939. Solemnized in the Manti Temple March 26, 1940. Dad died December 16, 1972. She then married Charles E. Kenyon, January 21, 1978. Gramps died July 1, 2000. Mom lived in Redmond, Gunnison, Hawthorne, NV, Murray, Price, Kemmerer, Wyoming, and finally settled in Salt Lake City. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She taught Sunday School, Primary, Young Women, and she was secretary in the Relief Society, a visiting teacher, and supervisor.

Mom is survived by her sons, Gary (Sue) Westenskow of Taylorsville, Jerry (Rhonda) Westenskow, Sandy, Creg Westenskow of Eugene, Oregon; grandchildren, Kelley, Steve, Wendi, Lincoln, Jackson, Maranda, Soren, Kyle, AJ; nine great-grandchildren; her dear friend, Janice Rose; Charlie's children, Barry (Sara) Kenyon of Arizona, Denny (Claudia) Kenyon of West Jordan, Randy Kenyon of England and grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, son, Randy; granddaughter, Brandy; and her brother, Whitney Christensen.

Thanks to Dr. Heath, Pat, Cottonwood Hospital 5th floor staff and doctors who cared for Mom, and the Staff at Care Source. Thanks to the Porch Ladies and the friends at Waterbury. Mom asked that you send a donation to the Cancer Society instead of flowers or take a friend to lunch and remember the good times.

A celebration of Thelma's life will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends and family may visit Monday from 6-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, 2:30 p.m. at the Gunnison Cemetery in Gunnison, Utah.
