Mrs. Davis Formby Dies

Remains Laid At Rest Tuesday Afternoon in Nances Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis Formby, 58, died Monday afternoon at her home near Piedmont Ice plant after an illness that has kept her confined to her room most of the time for four or five years. Mrs. Formby was born and reared in Cherokee county and was married to Mr. Davis Formby nearly 41 years ago. The family moved to Piedmont about twenty-five years ago, and resided here until shortly after the World War when they moved to White Plains where they resided until five or six years ago when they moved back to Piedmont.
Surviving are the husband; seven daughters, Mrs. W. J. Harris, DeArmanville, Mrs. Lee Champion, Choccolocco, Mrs. Nunnally Morgan, Piedmont, Mrs. Jim Little, Piedmont, Mrs. Dudley Holley, Piedmont, Mrs. Ed Borden, Nances Creek, Miss Kate Formby at home; two sons, Charlie Formby and Robert Formby at home; and several brothers and sisters.
The six sons-in-law were pallbearers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at Nances Creek with Rev. S. H. Pendley officiating. Interment was in Nances Creek Cemetery with Little's in charge.
