Louise W. Broyles of Pittsboro died March 8 at Westside Retirement Village in Indianapolis. She was 93. Born December 10, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Otha O. and Beryl E. (Gill) Williams. She married Felix L. Broyles on August 6, 1935, at Pittsboro Christian Church and he died October 31, 1963. Mrs. Broyles graduated from Pittsboro High School in 1930 and attended Central Normal College in Danville for two years. She worked 37 years as postmaster at Pittsboro Post Office until retiring in 1986. She was a member of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States, Pittsboro Christian Church, Pittsboro Order of the Eastern Star No 416 in which she was a worthy matron in 1939 and Pittsboro Study Club. She volunteered at Hendricks Regional Health from 1986 to 1994 and helped deliver Meals on Wheels. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Karen Broyles of Chandler, Arizona; a daughter, Janet Love of Pittsboro; a sister, Mary M. Armstrong of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were March 11 at David A. Hall Mortuary in Pittsboro. Interment was at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Lizton. Memorials may be made to the Plainfield Christian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 215, Pittsboro, Indiana 46167.
