NORTH JUDSON - Erma (Bailey) Minix 92 years, departed this temporary life for her permanent home May 16th, 2021.
She was born September 1st, 1928 in Galdia, Kentucky to Cambridge & Margaret (Wireman) Bailey & was the youngest of 13 children. She spent much of her life in South Bend, Indiana & North Judson, Indiana. She married Melvin Minix January 7th, 1949 and they had five children together: Forrest (Lori) Minix, Anna (John) Lewis, Vanessa (Joseph III), Humphries, Jesse Minix, (Vickie Carter, a special friend), and Kimberley, (Larry), Richardson.
Erma was the proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren & 3 step grands. A loving great-grandmother to 54 & 15 step great grands, 8 great-great grandchildren.. She was looking forward to the expected arrival of one more great-grandchild & one great-great grandchild, to be added to her family soon.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Melvin Minix, 9 sisters & 3 brothers,
Services will be held at Denham Freewill Baptist Church with the viewing taking place Friday, May 21st, 2021, 5 pm to 7 pm CST. The funeral is being held Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at 11 am CST with one hour visitation beforehand. Pastor Mike Noble will be officiating & O'Donnell Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in North Judson, Indiana.
