SYRACUSE — Mrs. Delia Criddle Rentmeister, 78, of 2238 S. 2000 W., Syracuse, died Friday in the McKay Hospital in Ogden of natural causes.
She was born Sept. 12, 1895, in Syracuse, a daughter of William and Sarah Maria Linford Criddle. She was married to Eli E. Rentmeister on Nov 25, 1914, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Feb. 20, 1951.
Mrs. Rentmeis(t)er was a lifelong resident of Syracuse, had formerly worked at the Naval Supply Depot, and was an active member of the Syracuse 2nd Ward.
She had served In the Primary presidency, had been a Junior Sunday School teacher. Relief Society visiting teacher and had been a Primary teacher and secretary and she and her husband served on a stake mission. She was historian of Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Iris Camp.
Surviving are two sons, one daughter, James H. Rentmeister, Donald N. Rentmeister, Mrs. James (June) DeSiIva, all of Syracuse; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Fay (Viola) Child, Syracuse.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Davis North Stake Center at Syracuse with bishop's counselor Sheldon F. Child of the 2nd Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 340 N. Main, Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday at the stake center, 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Interment will be In the Syracuse Cemetery
