The following was provided by Amanda Gilbertb;
David Harrison Stanley, in the World War I Draft Registration, gave his date of birth and place as 26 Aug 1889 in Centreville, Bibb, Alabama. At that time of the registration, he was living in Colorado County, Texas. David had a younger sister (oldest child of his parents),Dovie/Donnie Stanley that was born on 27 Sept 1888 and is buried in Red River Cemetery, Red River County, Texas. It would have been impossible for him to have been born in 1888. The date on the tombstone is incorrect.
