Carl H. Stanley, 89, of Sweetwater died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, in Sweetwater.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006, in the McCoy Chapel of Memories with the Revs. Ron Kelley and Roger Mobley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006, in the funeral home.

Mr. Stanley was born on Sept. 30, 1916, in Mitchell County. He married Evelyn Land on Aug. 22, 1941, in Loraine. Mr. Stanley was a member of the Highland Height United Methodist Church and lived in Sweetwater for over 64 years. He owned and operated Stanley Electric for 29 years.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Stanley of Sweetwater; one son, Larry Stanley and his wife, Bonnie, of Fredricksburg; three sisters, Louise Cartright of Desoto, Inez Petty and her husband, Bill, of Boyd, and Iva Dale Clemmons of Winsboro; one brother, Billy Stanley of Lindale; one daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Stanley of Lubbock; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Don Stanley, on April 26, 2002.
