Hilda Marguerite Redmond Weaver, of Baton Rouge, passed away at Sunrise Assisted Living on Sunday, July 26, 2009, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. Mrs. Weaver, born in Great Mills, Md., on Feb. 22, 1929, was the daughter of James Oscar and Edna Hewitt Redmond, of Hollywood, Md. Mrs. Weaver had four brothers, Quentin Bean, Leroy Bean and James Redmond (all deceased), who were of St. Mary's City, Md., and Irvin Redmond, of Hollywood; and four sisters, Sister Mary Rose (formerly Ethel Cecelia now deceased), Elsie Bowles and Elizabeth Owens, both of Lexington Park, Md., and Mary Rose Bullock who was of Woodstock, Va. (deceased). Mrs. Weaver was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jesse A. Weaver Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Weaver were married at St. John's Church in Hollywood in 1947. After a year in Clarks, they relocated and remained in Baton Rouge. Mr. and Mrs. Weaver had four children, Anthony "Tony" W. Weaver, of Manassas, Va., Bonnie L. Chidester, of Prairieville, Stacy J. Smith (deceased in 1998), who was of St. Francisville, and Brian J. Weaver, of Plaquemine. Mrs. Weaver also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, July 29, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at St Pius X Catholic Church, 6380 Hooper Road, on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Graveside service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway.
