Donald served as a Second Lieutenant & Co-Pilot on B-29B "RoadApple" #42-63600, 21st Bomber Squadron, 501st Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Utah prior to the war.

Donald was "Killed In Action" when his B-29 was hit by Japanese Anti-Aircraft gun fire and crashed near Osaka, Japan during the war.

He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

Donald was originally interred overseas and was later repatriated here on March 28, 1950.

Service # O-774847

Donald also has a "Cenotaph" in the Ogden City Cemetery, Ogden, Utah. " Click Here " for that record.

The reason he is named on a group headstone is because when soldier's were killed in close proximity to each other they were unable, at that time, to identify them separately and interred their remains together in one grave.
