Frank Plemons, age 79, of Whiting, IN, formerly of Kingston, went home to be with the Lord on June 11, 2008.

He was surrounded by his beloved wife of 51 years, Joyce (nee Collins) and his family. Frank was the loving father of Gary (Kathy) Plemons of Whiting, IN; two grandchildren: Emily of Ft. Wayne, IN and Kevin of Whiting, IN. He is survived by his brothers: James (Pauline) Plemons and Howard (late Emma) Plemons of Whiting, IN, and Arvine (Shirley) Plemons of Valparaiso, IN; sisters: Edna (late Garland) Rodgers, Ruth (late Joseph) Cooper, Margie (late Bill) O'Connor and Lil (late Jerry) Atteberry, all of Whiting, IN. Frank also leaves behind his special brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law: Avery (Beverly) Collins of Townsend, TN, Kenneth (Dean) Collins of Griffith, IN, late James (Harriet) Collins and Carol Collins of Whiting, IN; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents: James and Carrie Plemons and his siblings: Harold, Arthur Lee, Jewell and Henrietta Plemons.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation for all the prayers and support from family and friends. They would like to send a special "thank you" to Dean, Harriet and Carol and would also like to thank Susan Abear and Patty Garcia of the Home Health Care.

Frank was retired from U.S. Steel with 33 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Frank was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be remembered with good memories and greatly missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends will gather at Click Funeral Home by 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 11 a.m. with his nephew, Rev. Tony Collins officiating. Full military honors will be conferred by the Loudon County Veterans' Honor Guard. Clicks Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is serving the Plemons family
