Mrs. Mary B. Pugh

Mrs. Mary Bell Pugh, 86, widow of George Pugh, whose grandfather, Peter Davis Pugh, founded the village of Pughtown, died today at 12:15 a.m. in the Fox Rest Home in Chester, following a year's illness. Mrs. Pugh was born Aug. 4, 1867, in Hancock County, a daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Allison. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She leaves two sons, Arthur Pugh of Chester and Allen Lee Pugh of Weirton; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Rites will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester by the Rev. M. V. Stone, pastor of the Methodist Church. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call tonight and Tuesday night at the funeral chapel.
