NOTE: Matilda's nickname was 'Tillie'. Tillie was one of triplets. The first triplets born west of the Allegheny Mountains.

Illness Proves Fatal.

Mrs. Matilda Lyons, wife of James Lyons, died at her home in Middle Run, about two miles from Chester, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock of peritonitis, aged 42 years. Mrs. Lyons is survived by her husband, five children and several step - children, besides several sisters and brothers. She was one of triplets, her other two sister of which still survive. One sister, Mrs. George Pugh, is reported very ill at the present time. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Mr. Greenlee and Rev. Mr. Garrow officiating. Interment in Locust Hill cemetery.

Funeral of Mrs. Matilda Lyons.

The funeral of Mrs. Matilda Lyons was held at the home in Middle Run at 10 o'clock this forenoon, Revs. Greenlee and Garrow officiating. Among those from Chester in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Abrams and Samuel Murray and family. The remains were buried in the Locust Hill cemetery.
