Santa Anna, Texas, April 11 -- J. C. Ware, an aged farmer, fell dead from his cultivator while working in the field, and was burried (sic) by the Masonic fraternity last Friday. (Source: Fort Worth Record, April 12, 1904, pg 6)

He served in the 16th Mississippi, CSA and was at Appomattox Court House with his unit at the surrender in April, 1965.
Children: Eugenia Lenora Ware Jones, Hampton Wimberly Ware (1868-1890), Florence Leola Ware (1872-1872), Eudora Tallulah (1874-1878), Homer Virgil Ware, Howard Shelton Ware, and Eunice Anna Ware Jones.
