Othniel BROWN, from Rhode Island, settled on Section 6 of the Holland Purchase, in 1816, -- from the history of this region. Do not know his parents, and I have really researched. I know he was born in Rhode Island, and more than likely is in the Chad Brown Genealogy line. He was a successful businessman. Opened a couple of mills in this country. He married Martha W Whitehorn. The census showed many children, but all I know are William Hamilton Brown and Alexander H Brown.
