Lewis Coleman
Deer Lodge, Aug. 21--Lewis Coleman, postmaster of Deer Lodge, who was one of the pioneers of this region and also a politician of considerable local repute, passed away at his home here yesterday after an illness of about a week.
Mr. Coleman came west in 1860 and located in this district in 1869. From the year of 1878 to 1892 he attended five republican conventions, and served as county treasurer and sheriff and city treasurer on different occasions.
