Anna Christine Nastali/Nastale was born Jul 21, 1892, in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, to parents Francis Nastali (1854-1919) and Veronica Drozanowski/Druzan (1857-1942), both born in West Prussia.

Anna was the 11th child in a family of 17 or 18 children. Her brothers and sisters were:

Mary Nastale-Rogowski, born in Germany (1880-1970),
John Frank Nastale, born in Germany (1882-1957),
Bridget Nastale, born in Germany (1883-ca 1929),
and the following born in the United States (probably all Michigan):
twin baby boys, died in infancy (1885-),
baby girl, died in infancy (1886-),
Clara Nastale-Ostrowski (1887-1915),
Mathilda Nastale (1889-1956),

The surname Bruschitzki (German spelling) has been spelled differently on several documents - Bruschitsky on the WW I Draft Card, Bruschitski on John's Social Security Record, and Brujitske on John's memorial card.

Anna and John settled in Detroit, Michigan, where John worked in the auto industry. They had five children: Leonard Julius Bruschitzki/Bridges (1913-2002), Alice Cecelia Bruschitzki-Mitchell (1914-2006), Helen Eleanor Bruschitzki-McGlynn (1915-1998), Leona Ann Bruschitzki-Bradley-Jarvis (1917-1988), and Carolyn Grace Bruschitzki-Kirkwood (1919-2002).
