Flora Bray, 54, New Hope Road, Cains Store, died Saturday, June 26, at her home following an illness of one year.

Born April 11, 1922, at Nancy, she was the daughter of Elwood and Lou Dixon Tarter, both of whom preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Columbus C. Bray, whom she married March 31, 1951 at Jamestown; five children, Ricky W. Bray, Shelbyville, Indiana, and Mrs. Jean Weddle, Owen C. Bray, Rebecca Powers, and Pamela L. Bray, all of Cains Store; six brothers, James Tarter and Lyle Tarter, both of Cains Store, Curtis Tarter and Hillard Tarter, both of Nancy, Raymond Tarter, Eubank, and Carthel Tarter, DeLand, Illinois; a sister, Mollie Blanton, Utica, Michigan; and five grandchildren.

She was a housewife and a member of Old Fashioned Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 28, at Old Fashioned Faith Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Alonzo Mitchell and Rev. Sherman Soward officiating.

Burial was in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Pulaski Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
