Lester BRYANT, 84, Phoenix, Ariz., died Saturday at his residence. He was a summer resident of Rochester. He had been in failing health three years.
Mr. Bryant was born Sept. 1, 1896 to Nelson and Jennie LARRIMORE BRYANT. He had resided in Rochester for many years, working as office manager of the Armour Creameries. He retired from Sears in Chicago. He was a member of the Rochester Church of God. He was married to Valura RICHARDSON, who survives.
Surviving with his wife, Valura are three daughters, Mrs. Roger (Louise) HERRELL, Phoenix, AZ; Mrs. Millard (Delores) WHITLOCK, Park Ridge, Ill.; Mrs. Richard (Betty) DAVIS, Hagers Bend, Ill.; Additionally, he raised 4 grandchildren who survive, Larry Bryant Weaver, PHX, AZ; Jean Louise Weaver (Lurtsema); Anchorage, AK; Mary Whisler Lopez, Glendale, AZ; and Ronald Lester Whisler, of Oregon. He had a total of nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Two brothers, and five sisters preceded in death including Mrs. Lena BOWEN, Mrs. Clara GAST and Mrs. Lon ZIMMERMAN, all of the Rochester area.
