The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the White House United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, directed by Dukes-Harley Funeral Home of Orangeburg.
Mr. Shuler was born at Bowman, a son of the late Grover Cleveland Shuler and Mrs. Sallie Zeigler Shuler.
He was a farmer and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of White House United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Louise Dantzler Shuler of Bowman; two sons, Edmund D. Whetsell of Kingstree and Dr. D. Wayne Whetsell of Fort Smith; Ark.; a daughter, Mrs. Clinton A. Rust of Columbia; two brothers, W. Benton Shuler of Bowman and Claude W. Shuler of Orangeburg; six grandchildren.
