Eleanor Elizabeth Roark, 101, a Brownsburg resident for the past 67 years, died Wednesday, October 16 in Brownsburg Health Care. Born January 25, 1890 at Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Caroline Satters Ruoff. She married john Roark November 17, 1913 and he preceded her in death in 1952. Mrs. Roark, a homemaker, was a member of Brownsburg Order of Eastern Star for 59 years and served on one of the first library boards. She was a member of the Brownsburg Christian Church. Services were Saturday, October 19, in Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Rev Steven Reeves officiated with burial in Brownsburg Cemetery. Surviving are sons, Louis F. Roark, Charles Frederick Roark, both of Brownsburg, and Harry C. Roark, Plainfield; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A son, John Lawrence Roark, preceded his mother in death.
