Mrs. Michael Kautz, 75, Adams county pioneer died last week at her home here following a paralytic stroke. She suffered the storke about noon yeterday and never regained consciousness. She had been in ill health for several years. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Philadelphia Congregational church with Rev. H. Nuetzmann officiating. Burial will be in the Ritzville cemetery.
Mrs. Kautz was born in Russia an came to this country shortly after she married. She has lived here over 40 years. Besides her widower, she is survived by two sons, W. B. Kautz of Ralston and Fred Kautz of Spokane; two daughters. Mrs. Walter (Lydia) Teske and Mrs. Anna Austin of Ritzville and a sister, Mrs. Christina Mittlstaad, Comrose, Alta. Canada.
