Mr. Carson was a well known farmer of the Calvin Community. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Frank Carpenter, Fern, and Pearl, of Calvin; three sons, Reed of Calvin, Perry in the U.S. Navy, and Samuel of New Orleans; two brothers, Tom Carson of Calvin and Charlie Carson of Pitkin, La.; and three sisters, Mrs. Monroe Bundrick of Calvin, Mrs. Lee Mixon of Franklin Parish, and Mrs. Lela Chestnut of Alexandria.
A large number of relatives and friends attended the last services. Acting as pallbearers were Elmore Anderson, Jack Hodge, Jesse Shelton, Sam Jackson, Henry Wilson, and Herman Canerday.
