Richard Stockton Sr. was a son of Davis Stockton (c.1685-1761) of Albemarle County, Virginia. It is not known when or where Richard was born, but it appears that he was born about 1710 in England.
Several records prove Richard's wife was Agnes, however, her maiden name is not known. Some researchers show her maiden name as Anthony, but that maiden name is presented without any proof whatsoever.
Richard Stockton died in 1775 in Albemarle County, Virginia.
