He was born on July 9, 1932, in Patrick County and was a son of the late Moir A. Clark and Margaret Sheppard Clark.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and had been with the Virginia Game Commission for 21 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Ann Meek of Gaston, S.C.; two sons, Joseph G. Clark of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Moir S. Clark of Independence; three grandchildren; and one brother, Glenn Edward Clark of Stuart.
A graveside service was held Saturday at Stuart Cemetery with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans' Memorial Honor Guard and Masonic rites by Mountain Home Lodge #263.
