Born in Belton, he was a son of the late Rosa McDavid Clinkscales.
Survivors: wife, June McDavid; daughter, Sheryl McDavid of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Gerald (Tiffany) McDavid of Rowlett, Texas, Michael (Venita) McDavid of Simpsonville and Bobby (Cavetta) McDavid, Jr. of Mauldin; sisters, Nina (Elmer) Suber of Greenville; brother, Cornell McDavid of Arlington, Va.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral Service: Friday at noon at Allen Temple AME Church with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary.
