Obituary
Benjamin Miller was born November 11, 1835, Jackson Township, Mahonon (Mahoning) county, Ohio. He was married to Miss Tianna (Fianna) Sechler, (should have been Fianna) March 2, 1862, and soon afterward moved to Cascade township, Kent County, Michigan, where they lived on a farm and endured the toil and hardship of early life together. To them were born twelve children, six sons and six daughters. His wife was taken from him, July 17, 1890. He stayed at the old home and mourned the loss of his beloved wife until about 1896 when he moved to Alaska, where he resided until 1901. From that time he made his home with his son, Isaac, until 1903, since then residing with his youngest daughter, Mrs. Abbie Finkbeiner. He died Jan. 16, 1910, aged 76 years, 2 months and 5 days. Seven children are left to mourn the loss of a father and mother.
