Anacleta Cobos Padilla
May 6, 1926 - September 18, 2004

Anna Padilla, 78, of Lovell, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, after a long hard battle of trying to recover from heart surgery this past summer.

The second oldest of 11 children, she was born to Jose Cobos and Magdalena Hernandez on May 6, 1926, in Lambert, Texas. On August 20, 1950, Anna married her life long love Eulojio "Coke" Padilla in Lovell at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. This union soon created three beautiful children.

Anna enjoyed gardening and caring for her house plants. In her earlier years she also loved sewing. Most of all, she loved her family, who will miss her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Manuel and Alvino; sisters, Dolores and Eulalia; and one grandson Mark Padilla Jr.

Anna is survived by her husband of 54 years Coke Padilla; sons, Mark Padilla, Leon (Lydia) Padilla and Ross (Charlene) Padilla; daughter, Arlene (Roger) Haney; brothers, Ben (Rita) Cobos, Martin (Jackie) Cobos, both of Colorado, and Rudy (Tonja) Cobos of Chicago; sisters, Juanita Gonzales of Colorado, Margie Hernandez of Powell and Socorro Ramirez of Tacoma, Wash.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jelli (Keith) McIntosh, Roger (Brenda) Haney, Kimo (Julie) Vasquez, Tessy (Danny) Jolley, Loni Padilla, Mia Padilla and Conor Padilla, and great-grandchildren MarKay, Ashlee and Mikkel McIntosh, Mercedes and Jazlyn Haney, Trecelle Jolley, Ross Jose Padilla, and Kane and Anamia Padilla.

Rosary services were held Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell. Funeral Mass was at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lovell. Haskell Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Burial followed in the Lovell Cemetery.
