Death Comes to Lena Zimmerman Following Stroke

Lena Zimmerman, 76, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Harting, at 12:30 Wednesday morning following a stroke suffered on Tuesday of last week.

Born in Lodi, Wisc., on July 26, 1871, she was married at Sparta, Wisc., on April 14, 1898. With her husband, she came to Kuna, Idaho, from Merrillan, Wisc. Mr. Zimmerman preceded her in death June 19, 1923.

For the past 19 years, Mrs. Zimmerman has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Harting.

She was a member of the Kuna Rob Morris chapter Order of the Eastern Star and the Kuna Methodist church. Besides her daughter, she is survived by one son, Fred Zimmerman, Vale, Ore., and two grandchildren, Robert Zimmerman, of ? Oregon, and Mrs. J. D. Ross, Seattle, Washington.

Lena Zimmerman Is Laid To Rest In Kuna Cemetery

Final rites for Mrs. Lena Zimmerman were held at 2:30 o'clock, Friday afternoon, December 12, at the Kuna Methodist church, with the Rev. T. O. Hill, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Zimmerman passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Harting, at 12:30 Wednesday morning, December 10, following a stroke

Mrs. B. L. Hale and Mrs. Orville McNutt sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," "Going Home," and "Abide With Me." Piano accompaniment was played by Mrs. Frank Fiss, who also played the prelude and postlude.

Order of the Eastern Star ritualistic rites were in charge of Mrs. Jessie Wilson, worthy matron at Kuna.

Interment was made in the Kuna cemetery, by the side of her husband, under the direction of the Albertson Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were P.J. Gregory, Victor Carlson, Orville McNutt, Chet Serivner, Roy Thompson and Frank Fiss, all from Kuna.

According to 1930 Federal census, Lena was the head of household and had her son, Fred, and family living with her.
