Paul Chaney, 73, died unexpectedly Friday evening at his home in Clarksdale.
Born in Edgerton, Mo., Mr. Chaney had lived in Clarksdale for the past 20 years. He retired from the Missouri Highway Department in 1961.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah, of the home; six sons, Kenneth Chaney, Forest City, Mo., Lonnie Morris, St. Joseph, Buddy Chaney, Clarksdale, Danny Chaney, Cosby, Mo., Joe Chaney and Michael Chaney, both of the home; four daughters, Leona Becerra, Eva Anthony, Alice Chaney, and Lori Ueligger, all of St. Joseph; two sisters, Opal Russell, El Monte, Calif., and Oma Lyon, St. Joseph; 17 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Bram Funeral Home in Maysville. Burial will be in the Clarksdale cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
