She was born in 1892 in Lima, Ohio to the late Orlo and Mary West, and moved to Steamboat in 1911 with her family on Sept. 17, 1917 she married Levi Boettler. They ranched in Twenty Mile Park until 1944 when they moved to Riverside, Calif. They moved to Grand Junction in 1951 where Boettler died in 1955.
In 1961, she married T. J. Chinn in Grand Junction. He died in 1966. Mrs. Chinn lived in Grand Junction until April 1972, when she moved to Rocky Comfort, Mo.
Her survivors include 2 sons, Wallace Boettler of Rocky Comfort, and Alva Boettler of Granby, Colo.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Luella Berry of Hayward, Calif.; and Mrs. Mary Katherine Bowman of Arvada; 3 sisters, Mrs. May Palmer, Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Vaden McCall, of Denver; and Mrs. Florence Luekens, of Loveland; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 16, in the Steamboat Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Ogden officiating. Donald Combs accompanied by Linda Robinson sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross."
Pall bearers were Bob Noyce, Steve Morrow, Val Brunner, Bill Laramore and Donald and Ronald Boettler. Interment services were held in the Steamboat Springs Cemetery.
