Ruby was the older daughter of James Wesley Crain and Amanda Elizabeth (Stribling) Crain.

Aunt Ruby crocheted a bedspread for each of her nieces and nephew.

Aunt Ruby raised chickens and sold eggs. During World War II, her chickenfeed sacks were used to make many dresses for the girls and ladies in our family.

She loved her family and faithfully sent cards and letters. Aunt Ruby was a member of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Hamilton County, TX.

Her chocolate pudding was the BEST! Both my daughter and I use her chocolate pudding recipe. We might not have survived childhood without chocolate pudding.

For each Christmas, Aunt Ruby baked a five-layer prune cake. It was good also--but not as good as her chocolate pudding.
