Vyron "Big Red" Adamson, 55, of Bowling Green died at 12:20 p.m. Aug. 10, 2009, at the Hospice Center.

The Warren County native was a devoted Christian and a member of White Stone Quarry Baptist Church for 42 years, where he also served as a deacon. "Big Red" was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. He was a son of Virgil and Norma Adamson of Rockfield, who survive.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Barbara Adamson; three daughters, Tracie Adamson and her companion, Kris Groark, Theresa Adamson and her companion, Joey Taylor, and Shelly Shell and her husband, Michael, all of Bowling Green; three sons, Michael Adamson and David Adamson and his wife, Jodi, all of Bowling Green, and Allen Adamson and his wife, Brandy, of Woodburn; three brothers, Daniel Adamson and his wife, Shelia, Irvin Adamson and Joseph Adamson and his wife, Edith, all of Bowling Green; a sister, Tina Allen of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Tiffany Hale, Kerrie Shell, Christopher Shell, Brett Hale, Ryan Adamson-Taylor and Dylan Adamson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at J.C. Kirby and Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Still Cemetery in Warren County.
