LONG ILLNESS CLAIMS MRS. SAVANNAH EVANS
Mrs. Savannah Elizabeth Evans of the Evans Community, age 65, died at her home Thursday, September 26th at 11:20 a.m., after illness of several months.
Funeral services were held at the Lebanon Church by the Rev. Torrence Maxey, Methodist minister, Friday, September 27th, at 11:00 o'clock a.m.
The burial was in the Lebanon Cemetery in the family lot. Mrs. Evans was born in Georgia but has lived in Marshall County many years. She married the late William C. Evans, farmer and merchant of this county.
She is survived by three sons, Walter and Harvey Evans, Potts Camp, and Sumpter Evans, Memphis; four daughters, Mrs. Mema Jenkins and Mrs. Nina Smith, Potts Camp, Miss Madge Evans, Memphis; and Mrs. Julia Moore, Holly Springs; one brother, William Buffington, Gillsville, Ga. and one sister Mrs. Alice Jackson, Dologna, Ga.
