DEATH TAKES FATHER

Well Known Aged Tenor Dies Twenty-four Hours After His Son

Two days after the burial of his son, Arthur A. Baines, who was interred on Saturday, Thomas Baines, seventy-seven years old, was buried yesterday from his home, 1932 Hazzard street.
Thomas Baines died November 30, within twenty-four hours of the death of his son. His son's funeral was held from the home of a sister, 4503 North Gratz street.
Thomas Baines came to this country forty years ago. He was formerly first tenor in the York Cathedral, England. In this country he sang in the Episcopal Churches of St. Timothy, Roxborough; the Church of the Beloved Disciples, Twenty-first street and Columbia avenue, and Zion Church, Columbia avenue. His son, who lived at 3326 Farragut avenue, Camden, died in the Lankenau Hospital following an operation, November 28. Mrs. Thomas Baines, his mother [[Correction: Not his mother]]; his widow and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Tittles [[Correction: Giggles]] and Mrs. Mary Jevons survive him.
