Leo V. Getter, who only recently completed a six months term of school at the Red Rock School House, died at the residence of Mr. Martin, on Fourth Avenue West yesterday at 10 o'clock.
He had been down with fever for some time and took a relapse, just when he began to see a silver lining to the cloud.
Mr. Getter was one of our promising young school teachers, and had a bright future before him. He was born near Carlisle, Pa., and was 24 years of age at the time of his death.
The friends of the young man have been notified of his death, and will arrive in the city in time for the funeral, which will take place from the First M. E. church, on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Somerville officiating.

Leo's middle initial was V, probably for Victor. He was the youngest child of George & Mary's 12 children, and the last to leave the home in Pennsylvania. He was a promising schoolteacher in Reno County, KS in 1893 when he became sick with typhoid fever and died suddenly. He had been living with his brother David. Leo died just two months after his father.
