John Edward Myrberg passed away on April 16, 1999, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born on August 11, 1932, to Axel Myrberg and Edna Clements Myrberg. He married Chloe Jane Thomas on November 16, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple. John attended Salt Lake Tech, U of U, and Ohio State University and majored in Electrical Engineering. He was Alumni of the Year at Salt Lake Tech. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed his family very much. He especially loved his 23 grandchildren and they adored their "Grandpa John". He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served two missions, one to the Western States Mission and the other to the Santa Rosa, California, area with his wife. He served in various callings in the church, including Bishop and Stake Patriarch. He loved being a home teacher.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; children: Jan (Dan) Isaac-Amber, Robyn, Ben, Marc, and Luke; Joan (Jeff) Schneiter-Lindsey, Karen, and Jenny; Tom (Stephanie) Myrberg-Kirsten, Kaylee, and Kelton; Diane (Kurtis) Prestwich-Kristi, Alyse and Mckay; Karen (Brian) Weston-Jacob, Eric, Michael and Sarah Jane; Ann Marie (Lonnie) Anderson-Hunter and Alexandrea; Mary Ann (Matt) Burdette-Josh, Mikelle; brother, Dale (Sue) Myrberg; sisters, Nedra Peck, Joyce (Wes) Reese, Janet (Bud) Jensen, Carolyn (Dave) Kadleck, Bernice (Rod) Morrell, and lifelong friend, Lowell Jacobson. Preceded in death by grandson, Bradley Aaron Isaac; his parents; sister, Nancy; and brother, Ramon.

Funeral Services will be held Monday April 19, 1999, at 11 a.m. at the Granger West 8th Ward, 3305 South Scottsdale (3960 West) West Valley City, Utah. Viewings will be held Sunday April 18, 1999, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, and one hour prior to the funeral service Monday.
