Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Ambrose A. Kuklok, 79, of 209 Eighth Ave. N, who died Tuesday at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery with full military honors provided by Sauk Rapids American Legion Post 254, Sauk Rapids VFW Post 6992 and Catholic War Veterans at Opole.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids. Sauk Rapids American Legion Post 254 will pray at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids followed by Sauk Rapids VFW Post 6992 at 6:30, parish prayers at 7:30 and Catholic War Veterans of Opole at 8:30.
Ambrose Kuklok was born in Holding Township, rural Stearns County, to Isadore and Katherine (Snyder) Kuklok. He married MaryJane Wochnick on Jan. 8, 1949, in Opole. He was an engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad for more than 29 years, and also was a hobby farmer. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids VFW Post 6992, Sauk Rapids American Legion Post 254, and Catholic War Veterans of Opole.
Survivors include his wife; son and daughters, Brenda Heinen and Roger of Becker, and Marilys Simmons and Renee Strang of Sauk Rapids; sisters and brothers, Marie Peternell of St. Stephen, Ray of Sauk Rapids, Sylvester of Opole, and Evelyn Neis of St. Cloud; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rick; and brothers and sisters, Edward, Roman, Thomas, Philip, Bernard, Mary and Pauline.
