I have info that Floyd L Carey had the stone placed at Hightop in July 1959
(based on info below there was a marker placed here in 1834, so maybe the 1959 stone was a replacement?)
info from another cousin -
Samuel was buried in Ross County, he died in Chillicothe and body was sent to Salt Creek.
Circa 1834 a marker was added to High Top Cemetery in Highland County
(something to do with Rachel receiving his military pension).
His body was never moved.
