Married 14 Dec 1922 in the Logan Temple to Delora Bunderson.
Orson was raised on the family farm in Mt. Sterling where he worked and learned to be a farmer like his father. He was a very likeable young man with a jovial disposition, fun of jokes and teasing pranks. He was honest, industrious and affectionate with his loved ones.
Being an accomplished musician, he could play the organ, piano and accordion. He loved to sing and go to dances. Active in the ward, he was chorister and organist also fined a six month mission in Hyrum Stake.
He met Debra Bunderson while she was visiting her sister, Lucy. She was raised at Stone, Idaho, and helped her father on the farm when she was old enough. She attended public school, completed the eighth grade, then went to High School in Brigham City, Utah, during the winter and worked on the farm in the summer.
After Orson and Debra were married they lived in Mt. Sterling and Wellsville before moving to Salt Lake City, where he worked as an interior decorator. They were active in the various wards where they lived. Orson had expressed himself many times that he would like to be able to see his sons grown to manhood but felt his time was about up. That he would not be with them much longer.
He passed away at age forty-seven, leaving his small family to be raised by Debra. She worked at night to help care for them until they were old enough to be left alone. She has done considerable research, genealogical and temple work.
Orson and Debra had the following children:
Erma, Elda, Marie, Jenna Vee, Melvin, Merlin LeRoy, LeGrand Victor, and David Orson.
