He was from the Roanoke, Randolph, Al Area and was a Sherrif or Peace officer of some sorts.

I am uploading a picture I have from my Grandmothers Trunk where it says on the back "Uncle Bud Hester and Son by his Police Car"

He was married to Synthia (Hunt) Hester My Grandmothers Aunt. Syntia may also be there abouts. Her father was Joseph Asbury Hunt Sr. and mother was Lilly Delilia (Anderson) Hunt.
