Daniel and Eliza Anne settled on a Plantantion near Ablertson in Duplin County, NC, and built a home which they called "Waterloo" and it is now owned (2008) by Dr. Dan Fagg who is a direct descendant. The children of D.H. and Eliza were Stephen Henry, Ann Elizabeth "Eliza," Francis Alexander, Amos William, Nancy Penelope, Sarah Mariah "Sallie," Mary Caroline, Julian "Julie," Catherine, Barbara, and Emmaline S. Following Eliza's death, D. H. married Eliza's cousin, Marian Graddy (Grady), on 12 April 1859 in Duplin County, North Carolina.
