Oldest son of Anna Grabowski Romanowski by her first husband, Maximillian Rogas, when they all lived in Poland. Maximillian died when Emil was a baby, and Anna came to America, and quickly married Sylvester Romanowski, who became Emil's stepfather. Emil Lived in Chicago from the time he was a toddler to the time he died. Attended the University of Chicago. Obtained a degree in Chemistry. Worked as a pipefitter/plumber. Never married. Supported his widowed mother and several siblings for years. Loved the fine arts and collected many beautiful antiques.
