SPANISH FORK - Parley Pratt Hill, 77, died Monday in Utah Valley Hospital of complications following surgery.

He was born Sept. 27, 1891, in Spanish Fork, the son of Parley Pratt and Elizabeth Lucas Hill.

He received his education in the Spanish Fork schools and he married Sarah Verlie Wagstaff on Feb. 11, 1914, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Nov. 5, 1965. Mr. Hill was a sheep shearer for many years and also worked in the construction of railroads. He was employed by Spanish Fork City prior to his retirement.

Survivors include four sons and three daughters, Roy Lindley and Ray Hill, Spanish Fork; James P. Hill, Pay son; Rollo E. Hill and Mrs. Paul (Bernice) Pierce, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Robert (Beryl) Gabbitas, Springville; Mrs. Gary (Veon) Dyer, Bountiful; 37 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Spanish Fork First-12th LDS Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop Clyde Lundell.

Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday prior to the services.

Interment will be in the Charleston City Cemetery.
