Prominent Resident There Dies Monday Night Ill Only Four Days
Mrs. Anna Beckius, a well known St. Nicholas resident, died Monday at 9 p. m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John May, after a brief illness with pneumonia. She was ill for four days. Mrs. Beckius was born In Luxemberg, Germany, in 1860, and has been living In this country for many years. Her husband, John Beckius, died 12 years ago.
Surviving children are Mrs. Math Steil, and Mrs. Casper Steil, of Alberta, Canada; Mrs. Theresa Skaltis and Mrs. Mary Seller, Minneapolis; Mrs. Louis Dockendorf, Watkins Mrs. John May, Mrs. Peter Schmit, and Mrs. Math. May, St. Nicholas; John and Jacob Beckius, St. Nicholas. The St. Nicholas resident also leaves one sister, Mrs. Frank Linn, of St. Cloud; and one brother, Nicholas Wagoner, of Webaux, Montana.
Rev. Eugene Scheuer, of the St. Nicholas parish, will conduct the funeral services on Thursday morning at 10 oclock in the church and interment will be made in the St. Nicholas cemetery.
