Elizabeth Maynard Clark was my G-G-Grandmother on my Father's side. She was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts according to her obituary and lived in Fremont Ohio for 68 yrs. This would mean she was only 10 yrs old when moving to the area. Six yrs later, at age 16, she married my G-G-Grandfather Andrew Clark.

Mrs. Elizabeth Clark died Saturday afternoon at her late residence, corner of Garrison and Arch streets, after an extended illness. Mrs. Clark was born in Cambridge, Mass., February 10, 1820, and had been a resident of Fremont for the past 68 years and was well known. Her husband died some 35 years ago. Two children survive their mother, Mrs. Belle Patterson, at present a resident of Fremont, and a son who resides in Indiana. The funeral services were held at the late residence Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. J. W. Holland, of the Methodist church, after which the remains were interred in Oakwood.

In the death of Mrs. E M. Clark last Saturday, Fremont has lost a much respected citizen, who for just fifty years had lived in her home at the corner of Arch and Garrison Streets. Born in Cambridge, Mass., a little more than seventy-eight years ago, she came as a girl of tento Fremont, where she married, her three childre spent their early life and where her husband died some thirty-two years ago. One of her daughters died in her young married life. another, Mrs. Isabel Patterson,whose tnder care of her mother continued to the end; and a son, Thomas, in Indiana, survive her. Mrs Clark has been more or less an invalid mny years, but during the past winter her health had failed visibly, a severe attach of griple developed into pueumonia, and she passed away at three o'clock on the 9th of April.
Funeral services at the house Monday afternoon were conducted by the Rev. Holland of the M.E.Church, of which Mrs Clark had for many years ben a member, assisted by Rev. A.G. Lane of the Presbyerian church. The latter spoke tenderly of the meaning and hopef the Easter season, and of the gentle life newly experiencing it. Some hymns were sun by the M.E. choir and after brief services te boy was placed in the vault at Oak Wood. Especial sympathy is felt in her srrow for Mrs. Patterson who was herself very ill at the time of her mother's death and funerl.
