Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church.
Vera was born on January 26, 1912 at Wildrose, a daughter of Carl and Olga (Zelmar) Melcher. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Wildrose.
She married Theodore Johnson of Noonan on March 3, 1933. Of that union two children were born, Arlene and Dale. Dale died June 9, 1954 in a boating accident. Theodore died on March 26, 1964.
On August 11, 1978, Vera married George Myhre of Crosby. George and Vera resided in Noonan until the time of Vera's death.
Survivors include her husband, George; a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Arlene) Bliss of Aurora, CO; two grandchildren, Betty and Robert Bliss; one great-granddaughter, KelleAnn Bliss; six sisters, Ella Schettler and Ruby Anderson of Waterville, WA, Eva Ingvaldson of Noonan, Ada Moore of Omak, WA, Lyla Johnson of Wenatchee, WA and Alice Anderson of Spokane, WA; four brothers, Larry, Glen and Earl Melcher of Wenatchee, WA and Edgar of Waterville, WA; step-daughters, Mrs. Calvin (Betty) Solem of Alamo, Donna Faidley, Medicine Lodge, KS, Mrs. Darrell (Carol) Pique of Memphis, TN and Mrs. Keith (Darlene) Thomte of Crosby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Dale, her husband, Ted, and three brothers, Albert, Carl and Don Melcher.
Stakston-Martin Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
