Besides her husband, she is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Clorene A. Wade, Mrs. Millie A. Martin, Mrs. Virginia A. Flythe and Mrs. Sylvia Jean A. Ricks of Conway, Mrs. Margaret A. Wheeler of Seaboard, Mrs. Josephine A. Baker of Capitol Heights, MD, and Mrs. Nell A. Long of Pendleton; four sons, Earl Allen of Ahoskie and Robert Allen, Jennings Allen and Sidney Allen of Conway; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Mae B. Martin of Conway and Mrs. Ruth B. Davis of Roanoke Rapids; a brother, Fred Bridgers of Conway; 42 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Tuesday in Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. Billy Herbert. Burial was in Conway Cemetery.
